Indigenous Community Links (ICL)

Indigenous Community Links (ICL) is an Australian Government program funded by FaHCSIA designed to help close the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous Australians.

ICL provides Indigenous clients with information and supported referrals to a range of local Indigenous and other community services and programs. ICL aims to provide Indigenous clients with lasting improvements in their social, health and financial wellbeing.

ICL operates through a network of state-based, not-for-profit service providers in urban and regional areas across Australia to provide the following:

• Lasting social, health and financial improvements through supported referrals and advocacy.
• Information and referrals to community services and programs across a range of Indigenous and other services and programs, such as legal, health, employment and housing.
• Help and opportunities for clients to develop skills to help themselves.
Katungul has an Indigenous Community Linkages Coordinator, Beverley Moreton, and Outreach worker, Lee Nye, who can assist Aboriginal people link to other services in and around your local communities.
